After some time of not updating my blog, I was surprised of the new interface of blogger.com. They have revamped the way it appears making it more look clean and fresh, well in my opinion that is. I was looking at the home page where I can see the blog posts I have already made. It’s the same with the old interface where I can view my blogs upfront but what’s new here is the number of pageviews of each blog I have created is shown with a little graph. I noticed it immediately and realized how far (or how small) the audience reach I have achieved.
My current blog about being a mom only had a few hundred views but that’s okay with me as most of the blog posts there (23 as of now) are just about my thoughts and my experiences about being a mom. Most of those entries are really my sort of diary I can read all over again letting me remember of ordinary days made extraordinary because of new experiences with my kids and being a mom.
I also made a blogspot for one hotel review and saw that it has twice the pageviews than my blog as a mom. I was surprised by that because that blogspot contains just one post but the good thing was it was linked to the website that makes travelling for everyone easier because of reviews. I checked my rank in Google and my lone blog post was found in page 8 of the Google SERP. I was elated! But I know page 8 doesn’t count because most people would look in the first 2 to 3 pages for reviews, what I saw was the potential of that particular niche.
Now it gives me an idea what to blog about that can reach some internet users. My writing project is not so busy nowadays so I have more time to focus on creating blogs that will contain of reviews and other things that I am passionate about. My mind is at work right now and I am hoping it’s not all in the mind but could materialize in a matter of a week or so. After which it’s all about maintenance and innovating to get to the top (weeeeehhhhhh!!! Singing a happy tune – la de da de da and dancing a bit). Oh well just getting myself inspired and move forward than dwell on negative stuff that slows me down and makes me sulk.
